Recently, China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) successfully held the issuing ceremony for the first certificates for green certification for household appliances. Altogether 25 well-known enterprises in five categories of products, including room air conditioner, multi-connected air conditioning unit, water chilling unit, household refrigerator and household electric washer obtained the green product certificates. Based on the National Standard of "General Principles for Green Product Assessment", CQC formulates the "CQC Green Product Certification Technical Regulation" for household appliances, which integrates indicators including energy saving, environmental protection, regeneration, intelligence and health into green indicators for assessment. After that, according to the certification dynamics and the needs of enterprises, CQC will carry out green certification research and development of other household appliances to help green development and promote high quality of life.
