CQC Outreaching Seminar in Europe

From November 28 to December 3, 2019, Vice President of CCIC/Managing Director of CQC Lu Mei led a delegation to Europe to hold an outreaching seminar for compulsory product certification customers, visited RDW (the Dutch Transportation Management Agency), and held a work deployment meeting concerning European certification Operation Centre in CCIC Europe B.V.

On December 3, CQC successfully held the outreaching seminarfor China Compulsory Product Certification (CCC Certification) Policy Adjustment for Automobile Customers in Cologne, Germany. More than 130 participants from Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volvo and other European automobile enterprises, parts enterprises such as automotive lamps, seats, rearview mirrors, seat belts and interior accessories, as well as customer representatives from related enterprises attended the meeting. Lu Mei delivered a welcome speech and a keynote speech. Mr. Ralf Scheller, Chief Operating Officer of TüV Rheinland, the organizer of the meeting, delivered a speech, and Consulate-general of the People’s Republic of China in Dusseldorf sent a congratulatory letter.

At theseminar, the Director of ACEA and the General Manager of CCIC Europe made statements on the importance of CCC certification to the development of the European automobile industry and the localization service of CCIC inspection certification. CQC Product Certification Department III and Factory Inspection Department introduced the latest development of China's automobile policies and regulations, the adjustment of the CCC catalog, the focus of factory inspection, the change of automobile CCC policy and the corresponding solutions according to the customer's focus. TüV Rheinland introduced the service measures according to the change of CCC certification. They also provided on-site answers to more than 30 questions raised by customer representatives. The seminar successfully helped the European automobile enterprises to better understand the latest requirements of China's CCC policy in time. During their visit in Germany, the delegation also visited a potential cooperative laboratory, and made the preliminary plan for the realization of One Test and Two Certificates concerning automobile parts in the future.

The delegation visited RDW, and met with Mr. Maarten Balk, Deputy Director of RDW, as well as with the heads of the European Automobile Type Certification Department and the CoP Inspection and Supervision Department. Then, the two sides reviewed the history of cooperation over the past 10 years, and also fully communicated and exchanged the new regulations, conformity assessment progress and cooperation intention concerning the automobiles under the background of the "Four New Modernizations" technology development. As the only authorized European E-4 mark automobile certification C-type technical service body of RDW in China, CQC has carried out the EU CoP factory inspections in China for nearly 10 years. In the future, the two sides will continue to maintain cooperation in the field of E-4 automobile type certification, supervision and inspection. Besides, both parties will further provide customers with European automobile regulation training and market access publicity services.

During the period, the delegation also visited CCIC Europe B.V. and held a work deployment meeting concerning European Certification Operation Centre with CCIC France Company, European Testing Company and Netherlands Company. At the meeting, Lu Mei also learned about the overall situation of the work of European Certification Operation Centre since its establishment, and also made work arrangements aiming to provide more convenient and professional localized value-added services for customers in Europe in the future.
