On December 5, 2019, China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) and the China Electric Institute (CEI) jointly hosted a seminar on photovoltaic product environmental adaptivity and outdoor power generation capacity rating in Hainan. Xu Qiuyuan, director of the Certification Department of the State Administration for Market Regulation, Song Xiangdong, Deputy Managing Director of CQC, and Zhang Xiaobin, General Manager of CEI, attended the seminar and delivered speeches.

The seminar focused on analyzing the outdoor empirical statistics of the first-batch photovoltaic modules developed by CQC and issued the first-batch outdoor power generation capacity rating certificate of photovoltaic modules listed in “Top Runner Plan”. Meanwhile, the seminar held a discussion on the environmental adaptivity and outdoor empirical technologies of photovoltaic modules and key auxiliary materials in the era of parity, and organized field visits and exchanges to CQC’s outdoor empirical testing field located in Qionghai, Hainan. The seminar helped all parties in the industry to have an in-depth understanding of the outdoor empirical testing technologies and clarified the technical path to evaluate the quality characteristics of photovoltaic products in a scientific and effective way under different application scenarios and climatic conditions, providing technical support for the establishment and improvement of the domestic photovoltaic product testing and certification system.
