Nominated by the Chair of the IECRE, IECEE NCB General Secretary Ms. Bian Jing from CQC International Cooperation Department has won the 1906 Award.

The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is an authoritative organization that prepares and publishes International Standards for all electrical, electronic and related technologies. Created in 2004 by the IEC Executive Committee (ExCo), the 1906 Award is one of the three major IEC awards to commemorate the IEC's year of foundation and honors IEC experts around the world whose work is fundamental to the IEC.

CQC is the first National Certification Body (NCB) in China of Scheme of the IECEE for Mutual Recognition of Test Certificates for Electrotechnical Equipment and Components (IECEE-CB) and also a member of Scheme of Mutual Recognition of Standard Certification of International Electrotechnical Committee Renewable Energy (IECRE) Equipment. CQC appointed a number of technical experts to participate in the international working group of IECRE wind energy and photovoltaic subsystem and undertook the secretariat work of the photovoltaic subgroup of the IECRE domestic counterpart working group, which effectively linked up international organizations and domestic parties, and ensured that the results of IECRE work and related developments were shared in a timely manner in China. CQC can directly issue CB test certificates of more than 1,300 standards in 17 categories. These certificates have been recognized by 53 member countries of the IECEE system and other countries and regions. At the same time, according to the multilateral mutual recognition rules, CQC converts about 3,000 international CB certificates into domestic CCC certificates every year, which helps to achieve "one standard, one certification, global access" and greatly promotes the facilitation of international trade as well as reduces the cost of enterprises.

Wining the 1906 Award is the embodiment of CQC’s continuous in-depth participation in the IEC conformity assessment system activities and the positive development of the international community. It marks the increasing international influence of CQC.
