CQC and EV100 signed “Quality and Safety Improvement of Supply Chain of Smart Electric Vehicle Plan”

On November 5th, 2019, the signing ceremony of the “Quality and Safety Improvement of Supply Chain of Smart Electric Vehicle Plan” organized by CQC and China EV100 was successfully held at the Beijing International Automobile Museum. Vice President of CCIC/Managing Director of CQC Lu Mei and Secretary-General/Chief Expert of China EV100 Zhang Yongwei attended the signing ceremony and delivered speeches. Representatives from leading enterprises of the new energy vehicle supply chain including Beijing Automotive Technology Center, NIO, AVIC JONHON OPTRONIC TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. and SINOFUSE and media representatives also attended the ceremony.

Considering the direction of development towards electrification, intelligence, networking and sharing across the automobile industry, innovative technologies and emerging materials are widely applied in the industry. The supply chain ecology of automobiles is faced with constant changes and ensuring the safety and reliability of products has been regarded as significant to the future development for all supply chain enterprises. According to the Plan, an in-depth study will be performed on the crucial links and critical components of cross-border innovation in the supply chain of new energy vehicles and intelligent connected vehicles, with the focus placed on component quality and safety risks. Meanwhile, the corresponding standard system will be put in place and improved on a continued basis, which is of great significance to the future development for the supply chain of smart electric vehicles.

Ms. Lu Mei said that as the largest and internationally leading comprehensive certification and testing organization in China to serve the electrical and electronic industry and the automotive industry, CQC will cooperate with EV100 to be committed to integrating quality resources of certification, evaluation, testing and standardization, making full use of the quality control experience in such fields as automobile, electrical and electronic, and communication to improve the quality and safety of critical cross-border components.
