On October 22, 2019, during the 11th Beijing International Wind Energy Congress and Exhibition, China quality Certification Centre (CQC), together with Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group Co., Ltd., Shandong Zhongtai New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and Zhanhua District Government of Binzhou City, Shandong Province has signed the Agreement on Type Test of National Offshore Wind Turbines and Grid-connection Empirical Test Base.

Xing Heping, Marketing Director of CQC, said that signing the agreement is another milestone in the domain of wind power in China. The construction of new energy test base is a vital measure to strengthen the testing and certification to ensure the quality of wind power equipment. Building this empirical test base relies on the project “National Key Laboratory of Solar Energy and Wind Power Generation System” undertaken by CQC. It aims to build up a national offshore wind power test base through the settle-in of Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group Co., Ltd., Shandong Zhongtai New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and other domestic leading enterprises awarded by CQC.
