On September 26, 2019, the launching ceremony for the Sichuan trading market of paid access to energy use was held in Chengdu. Mr. Song Xiangdong, Deputy Managing Director of CQC, was invited to attend the ceremony and delivered a speech. Together with other government officials attending this event, he witnessed the opening of the trading market. CQC Chengdu Branch was proactive in helping with the top-level design of trading regime for the access to energy use, drawing up the calculation method for the amount of overall energy consumption by the three industries including cement, steel and paper-making as well as report guidance, and developing a quota system for the access allocation of energy use. This laid a solid foundation for the opening and operation of the Sichuan trading market of paid access to energy use. The ceremony reinforced the influence of CQC on the field of energy conservation nationwide and provided a firm basis to cooperate with the National Development and Reform Commission on the trial of commercial transactions for the access to energy use.
