On July 26, 2019, under the guidance of the Department of Climate Change of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the Department of Ecology and Environment of Guangdong Province, CQC Guangzhou Branch held the first national cross-regional seminar on the construction of demonstration projects of near-zero carbon emission areas.

The seminar further strengthened the communication and interaction between the national strategic plan about climate change and local practice, the purpose of which was to provide a cross-regional experience exchange and technical cooperation platform for the construction of demonstration projects in the near-zero carbon emission areas of Guangdong Province and even the whole country.

In response to the initiative of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment to achieve carbon neutralization through carbon offset and other means, the carbon emissions generated by the seminar will be offset by purchasing Guangdong Province’s PHCER.
