On June 25th, 2019, a delegation from Nepal visited CQC, and Deputy Managing Director of CQC Li Guozhen welcomed their visit. During the talks, the two sides first introduced their basic situation respectively, in which the foreign side introduced in detail the relevant laws, regulations and requirements for market access, certification, accreditation, testing and inspection in Nepal. Besides, the two sides carried out comprehensive communication around the field of agricultural product certification and also conducted an in-depth discussion of the future cooperation.
In May 2017, the two governments of China and Nepal signed Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. Under this background, the scale of the trade between China and Nepal has been expanding over the years. The talks have deepened the mutual understanding and trust of the two sides, which have also laid a solid foundation for the cooperation in the future and are helpful for further promoting the trade exchange and development between the two countries
