From May 20 to 29, 2019, Vice President of CCIC/Managing Director of CQC Lu Mei led a delegation to Europe visiting key vehicle customers and relevant certification and testing institutions.
The delegation visited BMW's headquarter in Munich, Germany, Dr. Jens Rossing, BMW's Vice President Type Approval, and Franz Storkenmaier, Head of type approval total vehicle received CQC delegation and their team introduced the areas of BMW autonomous-driving, intelligent network, product development strategy and emissions testing. The two sides discussed the cooperation in design and development and vehicle innovation.
The delegation also visited UTAC CERAM in France, met with its board member Christophe PERGE and UTAC CEO Ms. Beatrice LOPEZ. During the meeting, UTAC team introduced 's capacity building in periodical technical inspection of vehicles, passive and active safety and testing of self-driving, and the delegation held friendly talks with Euro-NCAP President Pierre CASTAING and Secretary General Michiel RATINGEN. After the meeting, the delegation visited its new TECMO new technology testing center proving ground.
In addition, the delegation also visited SGS headquarter, DEKRA headquarter, ADAC, Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences and discussed cooperation in Euro-NCAP, autonomous-driving, intelligent network, functional safety, vehicle chip testing. At the same time, CQC has also carried out research on cooperation in the field of interconnection and new energy and in post-market certification and testing.
