On May 15, 2019, Vice President of CCIC/Managing Director of CQC Lu Mei and the deputy general director of Shanghai Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Tao Yonghua inaugurated the China Saudi Import and Export Conformity Assessment Office of CQC Shanghai Free Trade Zone the Belt and Road Technology Exchange International Cooperation Center. Ji Zhaoliang, executive deputy governor of the Pudong New Area, and Dr. Mohammed Alotaish, the Commercial Counsellor of the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in China witnessed the ceremony.

The China Saudi Import and Export Conformity Assessment Office is located in CQC Shanghai branch. Its establishment is a substantive progress and key localization initiative, which further expands and strengthens the Saudi certification business of CQC. It provides facilitation services for domestic enterprises to export to Saudi Arabia as well as expands CQC's international cooperation and influence. In the future, CQC will continue to make full use of its professional advantages to provide customers in Shanghai and even the Yangtze River Delta with "one-stop" convenience services, such as standard and technical facilitation and certification services, and continuously inject new momentum into international trade facilitation and high-quality development of regional economy.

Wu Weiping, General Director of Market Supervision and Administration of the Pudong Area, relevant departments of Shanghai municipal and the Pudong Area, the Pudong Area Testing and Certification Association, representatives of certified enterprises and import and export enterprises in the free trade zone attended the ceremony.
