On March 21, 2019, Vice President of CCIC/Managing Director of CQC Lu Mei met with the commercial counsellor of the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in China.
During the meeting, the two sides agreed that with the growth of China-Saudi trade, CQC, as a conformity assessment body, will play a significant role in promoting the quality of products, trade facilitation and consumer confidence. In addition, the two sides also conducted in-depth discussions on issues of common concern.
This visit has strengthened mutual understanding and trust between the two sides and laid a solid foundation for a broader cooperation in the future. It has also promoted the development of trade between China and Saudi Arabia and has taken a solid step in the integration of China’s the belt and road initiative and 2030 Vision in Saudi Arabia.
