On January 29, 2019, China Quality Certification Centre (CQC), CCIC Xinjiang Company and Almaty Company jointly organized the Technical Working Group Meeting on Promoting Sino-Kazakh Trade Facilitation in the Sino-Kazakh Khorgos International Border Cooperation Center, jointly with the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan and its National Accreditation Center.

The meeting seeks to build a platform through technical exchanges between the two parties and information communication with enterprises to solve the technical problems in Sino-Kazakh trade, focusing on the market access of agricultural and food products from Kazakhstan into China and mechanical and electrical products from China into Kazakhstan.

The meeting laid a mechanism foundation for regular working group meetings between China and Kazakhstan in the future, provided a concrete platform for future targeted and sustainable solutions to bilateral problems, and contributed to further promoting trade facilitation between China and Kazakhstan.

The meeting was strongly supported by the relevant departments of Urumqi Customs.
