On December 21, 2018, CQC cooperated with the Guizhou Provincial Development and Reform Commission to host the party building activity with the theme of “Promoting Single Carbon Sink and Helping Poverty Alleviation” in Guiyang.

The Party Committee attached great importance to the activity. Before the meeting, the cadres and Party members volunteered to purchase forest carbon sinks in poverty-stricken areas in Guizhou. The 31 Party branches gave positive responses. About 470 Party members gave full play to the exemplary role and participated in the subscription. The participation rate of Party members reached 99%. The activity covered nearly 1,000 Party members, who had purchased 140,382 plants of carbon sinks, and the cumulative carbon purchase amounted to 420,000 yuan. The activity effectively transformed lucid waters and lush mountains into invaluable assets and brought support and help to the poor in Guizhou Province.

Vice President of CCIC/Managing Director of CQC Lu Mei said that as the earliest certification body that first proposed to fulfill social responsibility in Chinese certification industry, CQC has always regarded certification technology as an important means of benefiting "people". Just as participating in the Guizhou Provincial Single Carbon Sink Poverty Alleviation Project, CQC implemented the technological work of “single carbon sink methodology research” and “single carbon sink project certification” to transform its technological advantages into social benefits for the society and people, making social responsibility more meaningful.
