On June 20th, 2018, Vice President of CCIC/Managing Director of CQC Lu Mei was invited by Pudong New District Government of Shanghai to participate in “the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation on Promoting Certification, Accreditation, Inspection and Testing of the Free Trade Pilot Zone” jointly organized by Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China and the Shanghai Free Trade Pilot Administration Committee, and represented CCIC to inaugurate CQC China(Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone “the Belt and Road” International Technology Exchange Cooperation Centre with Huang Xiaolu, director of Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision.
The establishment of the International Cooperation Center is another significant move taken by the two sides after the signing of the Quality Cooperation Agreement on the Construction of Bridgehead Test and Certification Body Serving in China (Shanghai) Free Trade Pilot Zone Serving “the Belt and Road” in September 2017. It will further enhance the “bridgehead” role of China (Shanghai) Free Trade Pilot Zone in serving “the Belt and Road” and promote the market main players to go out. The inspection, testing and certification correspond to the national policies to enhance the element concentration and radiation capacity and promote the construction of China (Shanghai) Free Trade Pilot Zone and Scientific Creation Center.
