GB21520-2015 “Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and energy efficiency grades for computer monitors” will take effect on Oct. 1st, 2016. China Quality Certification Center (CQC) also released new version of energy conservation certification rules for Computer Monitors CQC31-452629-2016 to instead of CQC31-452629-2009.

The modified details are as follows.
1.The energy-saving certification can be voluntarily chosen implementing by GB21520-2015 or GB21520-2008 since the notice released until Oct.1st,2016. CQC will no longer issue certificates with old version standard GB21520-2008 since Oct.1st, 2016 for the computer monitors.
2.For the computer monitors energy-conservation certificate holder should submit changing application since the notice released. For the computer monitors should be re-sample test all items on at least one sample in principle, and certificated validity is unchanged.
3.Certificate change should be completed before Apr.30th, 2017. If the certificates were not transferred on time, they would be suspended, if they failed to be replaced before Jul.31th, 2017, they will be withdrawn.
