Starting from December 1st 2010, the applicable standards version for compulsory certification of lamp controlgear will be replaced by new version standards, the below is the list of the contrast of the standards.
Old version standards:
GB19510.1-2004 Lamp controlgear-General and safety requirements,
GB19510.4-2005Lamp controlgear-Particular requirements for a. c. supplied electronic ballasts for fluorescent lamps,
GB 19510.9-2004Lamp controlgear-Particular requirements for ballasts for fluorescent lamps,
GB19510.10-2004Lamp controlgear-particular requirements for ballasts for discharge lamps(excluding fluorescent lamps)
New version standards:
GB19510.1-2009, GB19510.4-2009, GB 19510.9-2009, GB19510.10-2009
Those new standards had been issued and will be taken into effect on December 1st 2010. in accordance with CNCA[2010] No.34 Notice “requirements for updating the standards on compulsory certificate of lamp controlgear”. We list some related requirements for this standards change as follow:
1 During the time of this notice published to the new version standards be in effect, applicants can freely make application on CQC website by old standards or new standards (but if you choose the old standards, please ensure that the time is enough to be left for you to meet the date that new standards been taken into effect), after that day, we will not issue the certificate with old version standards, that means the test report with old version standards will not be accepted.
2 For the certificates with old version standards, the certificate holder should submit change application on the CQC website before the time of follow-up factory inspection after December 1st 2010. Once your change applications are receipted, you should submit necessary documents to CQC and test Laboratory, and send test samples to the test Lab according to the notice on CQC website in time. The test samples will be tested through differences of standard. Based on qualified test report, the new certificate will be issued. The change for the old version certificates will be ended at December 1st 2011. If the certificate holders fail to complete certificates change, their certificates will be postponed, after April 1st 2012, the old version certificates will be withdrawn.
3 During the time of December 1st 2010 to November 30th 2011, each CQC’s branches in local have duty to notify the factory that applicable standard versions of lamp controlgear have changed on the time of their follow-up factory inspection. If they find that certificate holder still do not submit the change application, inspectors will write the non-conformity to factory. Factory can correct this non-conformity by submitting standard version change application. After December 8th, 2011, CQC will not receive standard version change application.
