On July 9th,2010, China Quality Certification Center(CQC) and United Nations Development Programe (UNDP) co-sponsored the “Green Office Initiative Energy Conservation Product Contribution Ceremony” hold in Beijing United Nations building. Mr. Kong Xiangyue, the vice president of CQC, Mrs. Silvia Morimoto, deputy country director of UNDP, attended the ceremony, and jointly opened the “Energy Conservation Key“, which symbolize the “CQC-UNDP Green Office Initiative”
“CQC-UNDP Green Office Initiative” aims to exploit UNDP international network,publicitiy and promote the efficient use of the office and energy supplies, guide and spread the energy saving concept in the whole society. CQC as the authority certification body of China, will be responsible for control the product quality, and create the display platform of technology, brand, energy-conservation for enterprises. In future, the two sides will focus on “Green Office Initiative”, to cooperate on high-efficiency products promotion.
UNDP is the UN’s global development network, advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. In recent years, UNDP and China government works well at aspects of energy saving, cleaner production, renewable energy and so on, plays a significant role in help solve our natural resources and energy supply shortages and economic problems.
