To those related enterprises：

In accordance with CNCA (Certification and Accreditation Administration of People’s Republic of China) [2009] No. 53 notice, “Notice of New Standard for Compulsory Certification of Household Electrical Appliances, as Washing Machine, and Water Extraction Machinery etc.”, applicable standards for compulsory certification of household and similar electrical products including: standard GB4706.24-2008 “Household and similar electrical appliances – Safety - Particular requirements for washing machines” and standard GB4706.26-2008 “Household and similar electrical appliances - Safety - Particular requirements for spin extractors” have been published and will be taken effect from 1 March 2010, along with these two standards, national standard GB4706.1-2005 “Household and similar electrical appliances – Safety Part 1: General Requirements” has also been carried out.

Related requirements are listed as below:

i.        For those related products mentioned above, from the date applicants receive the notice and till the date of 28 February 2010, applicants could freely choose either the new standard or the old standard for applying the certification (if the old standard is chosen, sufficient time should be set apart to ensure that the authentication certificate could be obtained before 28 February 2010).  New standard will be adopted for certification and new authentication certificate will be required from 1 March 2010.

ii.       Given that the difference between the new standard and the old standard is quite obvious, therefore, for those products that have obtained the compulsory authentication certificate, holders of the old authentication certificate should submit the standard version change requisition to CQC (the application steps are as follows, firstly, click “Fill out Certification Requisition”, secondly, click “Fill out Certification Transfer Requisition of Compulsory Products”, and finally, submit the transfer request.) after the new standard is released and before the next follow-up inspection is carried out.  And upon completion of a fully inspection for test samples with satisfactory results, old authentication certificate could be renewed and a new authentication certificate will be issued.

iii.                  Transfer of old authentication certificates will be completed by 1 March 2011, if those certificates were not transferred on time, they would be suspended; If they failed to be replaced before 1 June 2011, they would be disqualified by CQC.
