The Domestic furniture industry after years of development has developed to a considerable size. However, the overall level of quality of furniture industry is not all good, particularly the furniture formaldehyde emission standards, environmental issues seriously affecting the quality of our furniture products, and endanger the physical health of consumers. In light of this situation, the Chinese quality certification centre (CQC) in July 2003 launched furniture products CQC logo certification. In July 7-9 2004, CQC relevant departments, and some of the testing agencies, business representatives convened in Shenzhen on furniture product certification seminar delegates on furniture authentication models, technical standards, such as using signs in-depth exploration. Furniture product certification implementation of the revised rules will make it easier to operate, more stringent technical requirements. Under the revised rules, at the request of furniture products CQC logo certification, in addition to checking the environmental indicators, but also the products performance, the target for ergonomic testing. The logo of Furniture certification will use CQC environmental quality certification loge; the relevant enterprises can consult the application matter to the CQC Technology Service Center and every sub-center.
