— CQC director Mr Li Huailin attended the IEC Centenary at invitation

From June 21st to 23rd, CQC director Mr Li Huailin and his group went to Nairobi, capital of Kenya and joined the IEC Centenary activity Africa Electrification Forum, as jointly organized by the IEC and the Kenya Bureau of Standards. IEC chairmen Mr Renzo Tani and representatives from the Kenya Ministry of Trade and Industry attended the meeting and gave speeches as well, while about 2oo representatives from government organs, standard institutes, testing institutes and the commercial field attended at the meeting and discussed about the outlook for the African electrification, Africa-oriented trade and the play of IEC international standards and IEC certification in developing Africa.

As invited, Mr Li Huailin gave a speech  the IECEE-CB Scheme and Certification Practices in China, together with an introduction about China’s practices and experience in implementing the IECEE certification system. During the meeting, Mr Li Huailin also visited Kenya Bureau of Standard director John Masila, and both showed the willingness for further cooperation. Besides solidifying the CQC’S relation with the IEC/IECEE, the visit strengthened the CQC’S influence as China’s NCB, and will play a more important role in promoting the trade between.
