The CQC-Headed Chinese Delegation to

3rd Plenary Meeting of the IEC-TC111

CQC deputy director Mr Wang Kejiao headed a Chinese delegation formed of representatives from 8 units to the IEC-TC111 3rd Plenary Meeting.

From June 19th to 23rd, CQC deputy director Mr Wang Kejiao headed a Chinese delegation formed of representatives from the State Standards Commission Department of Technology, Guangdong Exit-Entry Inspection and Quarantine, Guangzhou Institute of Electronics, China Standardization Institute of Electronic Technology, China Institutes of Home Appliances, Shenzhen Institute of Standardization Technology to the American city Siatu to attend the 3rd plenary meeting of the IEC-TC111.

The conference was organized by the NIST and the Microsoft Corp. Representatives from about 20 countries had an in-depth discussion over the IEC 26321, IEC62430, IEC 62474 and ICE 62476 standards and product environmental information.

During the conference, coordinating meeting were held for the IEC/TC11 WG1 Material Statement Working Panel, the WG2 Environment Awareness Designing Panel for Electrical/Electronic Products /and systems, and the Chinese and French Samples Separating Motions.

With sufficient before-the-conference preparation, the Chinese representatives were very active at the conference and fully stated China’s opinions at the sample separating motions coordinating meeting. In the end the meeting decided to establish a sample separating task panel on the base of the motions by the Chinese side and the French sides, to further formulate regulations for the separation work. Besides, the Chinese delegation also explained their ideas on conformity certification standards, and expressed that they were willing to join the formulation of international conformity certification standard. After the conference, the National Standardization panel for Electro-engineering has joined the drafting for TC111, under the leadership of the CNCA.
