Help Create safe Environment for the Happy Growth of the Next Generation—CQC’s Profile at the Field Certification Consultation Activity
Mr Sun Dawei, Party Committee member of the State Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision and Quarantine and Director of the State Commission of Certification and Supervision visits the CQC consultants’ counters.Before the counter, the CQC personnel were conscientiously answering questions from consumers.
In the same day, the CQC Shanghai center and Guangzhou center also joined the public compulsory consultation activities organized by respective local exit-entry bureau of inspection and quarantine, bureaus of quality and technical supervision.
June 1st, 2006, the CQC joined the field June 1st toy compulsory certification consultation activities cosponsored by the State Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision(the SBQTS, the State Commission of Certification and Cupervision(the CNCA). The SBQTS Party Committee member and director Mr Dawei, the SBQTS Regulations and Rules chief Mr Liu Zhaobin and the SCCS deputy director Mr Zhu Guangpei visited the consultation counters, and inquired the persounel about the carry-cout of the activeity, the CQC director Mr Li Hailin accompanied them during these visitS, and gave a speech on behalf of the toy compulsory certification and testing organs.
China has rapidly grown to be a toy producing and market base over the past few years, with the yearly put at over RMB 100 billion. To substantially ensure the product safety and protect children’ health, the SBQTS, the CNCA issued an regulation that starting from March 1st, 2006, all Chinese-produced or -sold children’s bikes, electrical toys, plastic toys, metal toys, ejection toys and dolls must pass compulsory certification before commercial use, and effective from July 1st, any products of the 6 categories failing the certification should not be put out of factories or go into markets home and abroad. Since the adoption of the regulation, 52 enterprises have gained 95 compulsory certificates for their toy products.
In his speech, Mr Li Huailin promised that the CQC will strictly exercise the SBQTS and CNCA regulation, and through meticulous, regulated work and active cooperation with enterprises to ensure the quality safety of every product. He also called for joint effort from the whole society to build a safe and healthy environment for the children and let them fully enjoy their happy childhood.
During the activity, the CQC consultation workers gave on the spot answers to questions from consumers and handed out large number of pamphlets.
According to other channels, CQC branch offices also joined similar local public consultation activities organized by local exit-entry bureaus of inspection and quarantine and bureaus of quality and technical supervision.
