National Standards GB7251.1-2005? Low-voltage switchgear and control gear assemblies--Part 1: Type-tested and partially type-tested assemblies? was implement on August 1, 2006, the old version of safety standards GB7251.1-1997? Low-voltage switchgear and control gear assemblies--Part 1: Type-tested and partially type-tested assemblies? automatically annulled since the implementation date of the new standard.

Certification and Accreditation Administration of People's Republic of China issued a notice of 20th in 2006in August 2006, and provides new requirement of implementation of new standards for compulsory product certification of Low Voltage Switchgear products. We now explain the version change for GB 7251.1 standard as follows:

1. Since August 1, 2006, adopts the new standard to implement the certification work.

2. As for the Low Voltage Switchgear products which have got the compulsory certificate the holders of old version of certificate should apply to the China Quality Certification to change for new version of standard certificate after implemented in the new standard, before the next track inspection, but preferably not later than December 30, 2007 to complete. We will cancel the certificate overdue.
