According to the No. 15Notice of 2006 of Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China(CNCA) , herein the former national standards GB9656< automotive safety glass>, -1996,GB9963-1998, have been replaced already by the new standards 1998 GB9656< automobile safety glass>,- 2003,GB15763.2-2005< toughened glass safety glass used in construction Part 2: toughened glass >,in order to regulate the compulsory product certification work of the safety glass , CNCA organized experts of the safety glass mandatory product certification technique, after full discussions, solicit opinions and approved by CNCA, issued the new implementation rules on July 12, 2006.The revised implementation rule is < implementation rules of safety glass compulsory certification  safety glass products> (CNCA-04C-028 :2006) (see Annex), goes into effect from the promulgation day. The new rules definitude the compulsory certification requirements of automobile window using toughened glass, other using automobile glass, auto glass plastic composite material Building and railway vehicles using safety glass and such glass products related to safety. Compared with the 2001 version of the rules, the new rules increase the insulating glass and automotive glass products used in construction hollow.

According to the CNCA 's demands, for the glass products which newly apply to compulsory certification, Since the date the notice is published in accordance with the new rules; for the products which have got the compulsory certificate prior to the date of this announcement, they have to change the certificate under this rule. Otherwise, the original certification will be automatically invalidated. Vehicles used hollow glass and construction used hollow glass which was newly bring into the 3C certification scope, if these product not get the compulsory product certification certificate and not step in the China Compulsory Certification mark, they will not allowed to leave our sales, imported or used in other business activities.
