SA8000, which stands for Social Accountability 8000, is the world’s first social accountability certification standard for workplaces in all sectors. Based on the international workplace norms and standards contained in the International Labour Organization Conventions, Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, the SA8000 standard is applicable to various industries and enterprises of different scales. Essentially, SA8000 aims at improving working conditions and promoting ethical and fair treatment of workers by enterprises.
Since 2006 when CQC was authorized by IQNet Ltd to provide SA8000 certification services in Chinese Mainland, it has cumulatively certified about 200 enterprises, including subsidiaries of central enterprises, state-owned enterprises and listed companies, covering electronics, electrical appliances, new energy, science and technology, electromechanical, clothing, textiles, medicine, packaging products, import and export, grain processing, logistics, property and many other industries.
