Business Overview
ISO 28000 is a new standard developed in response to the demand for supply chain security management from the transportation and logistics industries, with the ultimate goal of improving the overall security of the supply chain. The ISO28000 standard provides a framework for organizations that operate or rely on a certain link in the supply chain for the first time.
This standard is compatible with and complements the security proposals of governments and international customs agencies, such as the standard framework set by the World Customs Organization for supply chain security and facilitation, the provisions of the European Community to strengthen supply chain security – Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), and the United States Customs and Border Protection Proposal – Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism.
